Pall Corporation is seeking a Plant Buyer II for the New Port Richey location.
Working with the Materials manager, you will have the opportunity to perform:
DMS Activities
Kanban Deployment– Working with PFEP Roadmap and guided by Materials manager, you will become a SME on Kanban deploying the process throughout your site using Kaizen and daily work.
IMAG – Identification of material issues, over design and shortages and using problem solving to identify & implement countermeasures. Using material DIVE board to stop reoccurrences and proactively communicate to site team.
Kanban Maintenance & Audit – Upkeep of deployed kanbans to ensure they support the manufacturing site and PFEP requirements.
GR/IR – Ensuring that Purchase orders are correctly maintained through their life cycle to ensure goods arrive as expected and vendors are paid in line with authorized terms.
Working with Warehouse and Accounts payable teams to monitor and correct erroneous receipts & invoices.
Expedites / Confirmation – Utilizing IMAG and our SAP system to ensure that critical materials are delivered on time, date are clearly visible and up to date in the system for our planning team, escalating to Materials & Supplier Relationship managers when issues arise.
Vendor Forecasting – working with the rest of the materials team to provide Sourcing teams and our vendors with accurate usage information for our materials to support Heijunka and supplier expectation acceptance.
Purchase Order Creation and lifecycle management – Daily creation and maintenance of Purchase orders
Kanban Call Off – Administering the Kanban board and ensuring that POs are sent correctly to our vendors
Requisition Conversion – Changing System suggestions for MTO items into POs and ensuring they are kept up to date.
Returns Orders / RMA – Launching required returns POs based on instruction from SQE team
PO Exception message administration – Cancellations, quantity changes & Expedites
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in supply chain and/or logistics with various supplier and vendor contacts to ensure materials are delivered on time and in proper condition.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment and communicating with production operations.
Ability to remain organized, manage time and properly engage with suppliers and team members.
Strong communication skills.
Previous experience expediting materials.
Functional knowledge of supply chain.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
AA / Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience working with SAP, MS Office, Email and Excel
Experience in a Continuous improvement environment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
