The is responsible for managing mid-sized projects.
This role requires coordination between the supporting functions (Engineering, Procurement, Customer Service, Finance, QARA, PQR, etc.). It also requires supporting sales/STS team in the pre-order stages. The Senior Project Engineer is expected to work with mentorship to establish priorities and activities needed for the project team to successfully meet the project objectives. This role may receive coaching from more senior Project Managers and will receive a moderate level of guidance throughout execution of work duties.
Responsibilities:
Manage mid-sized projects with the support of a coach/mentor if required; Responsible for all aspects of assigned projects. These could be multiple projects in various countries in the region. Look for opportunities to handle large projects / support other PM on large projects execution
Support various phases of project, with technical assistance from engineering, including pre-ordering sales support when needed.
Contract review of orders, coordinating vendors and sub-contractors, presenting technical solutions to customer, and ensuring final customer acceptance at site.
Listen, understand, translate and document internal and external customers’ requirements.
Project planning using planning tools including Visual Project Management and daily management as needed for multiple project handling (small / medium) across countries
Ensure the scope of the project is maintained.
Responsible for project completion within budget
Support the Sales team in pre-sale activities
Formally initiate projects
Support the planning and management of projects’ communications and reporting with the customers, project team, management and all involved stakeholders;
Participate in Pre-order Risk Assessments: Identify projects’ risks and plan and manage risks responses( OFMEA):
Properly and formally close projects, including documentation, configuration, training, commissioning, lessons learned
Manage, Follow-up, check, challenge and support project suppliers’ progress: Supplier Monitoring for Schedule OTD
Maintain a technical understanding of the job done by the team members in their area of expertise (mechanical, chemical, electrical; automation etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3-5 years Project management or project engineering experience for pressure vessels/EPC related projects
Familiar with SAP PS (Project System) module
Familiar with Microsoft project schedule tools
Able to travel within SEA region (10-20% travel frequency) for the projects
Equipment design knowledge ASME for pressure vessel
