This Individual will serve as theCategory Manager for IT & Professional Services. This individual will own the preferred supplier relationships for the assigned supplier group within the IT & professional services category. This individual will be responsible with for the overall Commodity Strategy formulation and execution as well as train, mentor, and audit junior level associates.

THIS ROLE IS A REMOTE ROLE, PREFERABLY ON THE EAST COAST.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Building and fostering critical relationships with the IT team, finance team, HR team, plant leadership teams, and others
Interface with key business partners and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, supply requirements and business objectives and priorities
Establishing category strategies for the spend categories to drive total cost of ownership savings
Generation and execution of cost-savings project funnel
Effectively manage third-party suppliers through a consistently applied and sound managed category/contracting process, effective contracts and corporate governance and controls

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or relevant experience.
Prefer 5 to 7 years of procurement/category management experience.
Ambitious, Self-Starting Team Player
Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction with a proven ability to influence/communicate at all levels; establish good relationships, drive change across functional and global boundaries.
STRONG leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-cultural teams

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Specific and deep current category knowledge and experience in IT

Experience in software / license negotiations and contracts.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of procurement/category management experience
Ambitious, Self-Starting Team Player
